China's Stock Markets: Bear or Bull?
The Shanghai Composite Index and the Shenzhen Component Index entered into a long-term adjustment period after the Shanghai Composite Index hit its peak of 6124 points since mid-October last year. However, the index is still decreasing because of the US sub-prime mortgage crisis, China¡¯s domestic re-financing and de-freezing of non-tradable shares. The gap between the current index and its previous highest benchmark seems even larger.
